Abstract/Contents:Discusses human exposure to chemicals that have been applied to turfgrass, with an emphasis on safety issues. Summarizes several research studies examining the fate of chemicals after application and the potential for human exposure associated with different application methods and timings. Concludes that current Michigan regulations, stating that people should avoid exposure to chemically treated lawn turf for 24 hours, are appropriate in view of the conclusions drawn in the literature.
