Abstract/Contents: | "This evaluation was conducted at the Valentine Turfgrass Research Center, University Park, PA, on perennial ryegrass maintained using low maintenance practices. No fertilizer nor weed control was applied to the experimental area prior to or during the test period. The test site was mowed once per week at a 1.5 inch cutting height. Individual plots, 3 ft x 15 ft, were arranged in a randomized complete block design with three replications. Fungicides were applied with a CO²-powered boom sprayer, using TeeJet 8004 nozzles, at 40 psi, in water equivalent to 2 gal per 1000 sq ft. Applications were made on 14 and 30 May, and 11 Jun, except as noted in the table. Treatments were visually evaluated on 25 Jun. Data were subjected to analysis of variance and Waller-Duncan k=100 test. Disease pressure was moderate to heavy in the experimental area. Most of the fungicides in the trial provided good to excellent control of pink patch in this experiment." |
