| Abstract/Contents: | "In the late 1970s several farsighted members of the John's Island Club in Vero Beach realized that the continued growth of their community would create overcrowding on their courses. They seized the opportunity to purchase and develop a tract of land just west of town. Their vision became a reality when the Indian River Country Club opened in 1978. A few years later the name changed to the current Bent Pine Golf Club." Explains how the golf club maintains it's course throughout the summer and fall months, which sometimes proves to be a challenge. Details include the fertilizer applications and the best way to maintain the golf greens throughout the busy season. |
