Abstract/Contents:Describes the delay in the opening of Panther Creek Country Club, in Springfield, Illinois, from 1991 to 1992 because of the wet conditions the midwest had experienced. Steve Mulvey, the superintendent on site when constrution began in 1990, commented that not only was the design of the course attractive, it also made maintenance easier. The prairie location of Panther Creek also has a positive side, the extreme winds prevent disease. Dispite delays by natural causes Panther Creek is still hosting a PGA Senior Skins game in Spring of 1995.
