| Abstract/Contents: | Plots of 12 perennial ryegrass cv., heavily contaminated with P. annua, were given 3 sequential applications each of 2 kg ethofumesate a.i./ha on 12 May, 12 June and 7 July 1981. Mean ground cover of P. annua increased from 24.5 to 28.4% in untreated plots and decreased from 25 to 2.2% in treated plots between 1-3 May and 1-3 Aug. No damage was noted on any of the perennial ryegrass cv. and treated plots appeared greener than those untreated. |
