| Abstract/Contents: | In pot trials, N, NP or NPKS were given to hybrid ryegrass grown in 73 soil samples from Arauco Province, Chile. P was the main deficient nutrient coinciding in many cases with low levels of S and K. When sufficient NP and NPKS were added, responses to them were independent of the level of P deficiency when sufficient was added. In some cases, the limited response to NP was due mainly to a low level of K, S or trace elements. Deficiency in trace elements and/or Mg kept responses to NPKS below the opt. level. |
