Abstract/Contents:"The close interaction between PACE Consulting and the PACE Turfgrass Research Institute allows routine analytical information to be shared to maximize the benefit for both organizations. During the course of a year, thousands of data points are collected that describe California soil, water and tissue chemistry. This data is compiled in a data base that allows evaluation of trends and expected values for many of the essential factors that help produce healthy turf. The soil, water and tissue summary tables below illustrate the 'normal' values for California golf course conditions. Use these values are [as] guidelines. Do not attempt to adjust your soils to match these values. You should always utilize analytical results from your site. If needed, seek assistance to determine if your soils need specific amendments and how the amendments will influence your management programs, and more importantly, if the amendments will improve your turf quality and/or tolerance to weed, disease, and insect pest pressure. All analyses reported below were conducted by Brookside Laboratories, New Knoxville, Ohio."
