| Abstract/Contents: | Seed extracts of (a) 16 annual ryegrass cv. and (b) 35 perennial ryegrass cv. seed extracts were analysed by polyacrylamide disc electrophoresis. Only (a) showed dark staining by an esterase isoenzyme and this could be used in detecting (a) in a mixture of (a) and (b). This method takes only 1 day compared with 14 days in the fluorescence test but it is not as sensitive in detecting (a) in a mixture of (a) and (b). |
