Abstract/Contents:The Gentner fluorescence test was used to investigate basic seed of the Polish perennial ryegrass cv. Wieclawicki, Gorczanski, Nadmorski, Pulawski and Bydgoski, Italian ryegrass cv. Skrzeszowicki and Szelejewski and Westerwolds ryegrass cv. Motycki. Fluorescence values and germination percentages are presented, and recommendations are made both for more precise seed quality testing under Polish Rules, and for data on fluorescence to be included for cv. entered in the Register of the Polish Central Crop Variety Testing Station.
