Abstract/Contents: | This experiment was conducted on a buffalograss lawn in Lincoln, NE. Insecticides were applied on 15 Aug to 1.2 x 1.2 m plots arranged in a randomized complete block design with 4 replications. All treatments resulted in statistically significant reductions in chinch bug numbers when compared to the untreated check. SunSpray + Dursban Turf at 0.563 kg/hectare provided greater than 90% control. The included chart relates the rate, average number of chinch bugs, and percent control for 9 different treatments. |
