Abstract/Contents:Nine fungicide treatments were applied to plots of 'Manhattan' perennial ryegrass for control of crown rust. The turf was established September 1985 at the University of Nebraska John Seaton Anderson Turfgrass Research Facility at Mead, NE. The included chart provides the brown patch severity and application schedule from 10 July - 20 August. Crown rust developed rapidly during mid-summer, reaching its peak by mid-August at which time it was considered moderately severe. Bayleton 25DF provided the most consistent rust control. There was essentially no significant difference in control between the two formulations of Chipco 26019. Of the three rates of Broadway, 9 fl oz/1000 sq ft, applied weekly was the most effective.
