Abstract/Contents:Research was conducted to evaluate 3 herbicides for the control of yellow nutsedge. The study was conducted on a 1-year-old stand of perennial ryegrass located at Mead, Nebraska. Initial treatments occurred preemergence to nutsedge on April 29, 1992. Sequential applications occurred on June 24 when nutsedge plants were in the 1-3 leaf stage. Data were collected on phytotoxicity and the number of nutsedge plants per plot on June 17 (7 weeks after treatment [WAT]) and August 19 (8 weeks after retreatment, 16 WAT). Treatments and results are listed in Table 1. No imposed treatment exhibited phytotoxicity at any time during the study. All treatments provided increased levels of control when reapplied.
