| Abstract/Contents: | Discusses how the number of animals raised in livestock confinement and legislative ban of yard clippings dumped in landfills force Iowa communities to use disposal alternatives. The city of Clarion, Iowa start a compost project combining poultry manure with city yard trimmings. The intial costs, intial operations, compost anaylsis, difficulties and refinements are discussed. |
