| Abstract/Contents: | Describes the growing concern over the environmental contamination by pesticides that has become more widespread during the last several years. Also a concern is the need to predict ground-water concentrations of pesticides. "It is usually not feasible to monitor ground water for the pesticides of concern", so pesticide concentration measurements are taked in the near-surface soil and soil water. Mathematical models are used to predict the concentration of pesticides that could possibly be found deeper in the subsurface. |
