Abstract/Contents: | Presents a 1995 study used to evaluate the persistence and visual quality of experimental and commercially available perennial ryegrass cultivars. 100 cultivars were established and seedling density, visual quality, and genetic color ratings were taken monthly. Seedling density ratings were variable due to a nutsedge infestation. Several of the cultivars rated for high genetic color were experimental material from Lofts. Recommends that no more than 20-40% of a seed mixture should be perennial ryegrass. |
