Abstract/Contents: | Relates the results from a five-year (1989-1994) trial conducted at the Purdue University Agronomy Research Center to evaluate the quality of 92 cultivars of fineleaf fescue. Details the soil properties, seeding and fertilizer application rates and maintenance practices which formed the conditions for growth at the experiment site. Ranks the cultivars by yearly average according to standards of visual quality. Shares how heat stress (left untreated for the experiment) led to loss of density for certain cultivars. |
