| Abstract/Contents: | In 2 harvest years during 1972-75, Erysiphe graminis was absent from S22 and from Glasnevin Leafy, Reveille, Endura and S24, out of 4 cvs. of Lolium multiflorum and 6 of L. perenne, respectively. Puccinia coronata and Helminthosporium spp. occurred on all cvs., with varying severity. Of the Italian and perennial cvs. infected with ryegrass mosaic virus, S22 and Endura were least infected, respectively, and the Italian X perennial hybrid Grasslands Manawa was as susceptible as the Italian cvs. The vector, Abacarus hystrix, was present on all cvs. to the same extent except for tetraploid Reveille. In greenhouse trials, Endura was the least susceptible perennial cv. |
