Abstract/Contents:Describes the popularity and efficiency of riding lawn mowers for home lawn care. Like purchasing most larger pieces of outdoor lawn care equipment, it is best to buy a lawn mower from a specialized dealership that includes its own service department. When selecting a riding mower it is usually a good idea to check the cutting width, turning radius, transmission, and engine size. The size of engine that you will want for your mower depends on the type of terrain that you will be caring for. Your mower will last longer if you hose dirt and debris from it after use and remove large pieces of debris before mowing. In addition change the oil according to the directions and keep the blades sharp. With the proper care of your mower these machines are heavy-duty and built to last.
