Abstract/Contents: | Muhlenbergia schreberi occurs in cool season turfgrasses and pasture. Among the herbicides evaluated for activity against M. schreberi in glasshouse flats, dalapon [rate of application not stated] gave 80-90% control when applied during dormancy or active growth, while glyphosate at 1.12 kg/ha gave complete control of actively growing M. schreberi but was < 50% effective during dormancy. Dowco 356 prevented initiation of growth from the dormant stage at 1.12 kg/ha but failed to provide complete control during active growth, even at 8.96 kg/ha. |
