Abstract/Contents: | On the premise that a vigorous stand of grass will successfully compete with weed spp., various methods of improving grass vigour are described including an integrated pest management method. They include regular monitoring to detect developing weed problems, establishment of a weed tolerance level (depending on use), and reduction of the stresses which contribute to weed growth, such as inappropriate spp. mix, soil compaction, too much mowing and incorrect irrigation. |
