| Abstract/Contents: | Results of greenhouse and field trials have shown that MgCl2 solutions, applied to streets in the winter, affected the development of P. distans and L. perenne growing along the verges. High concentrations of MgCl2 depressed L. perenne more than P. distans and low concentrations stimulated P. distans development. This explains the spread of this species in recent years in the southern part of the German Democratic Republic. |
