| Abstract/Contents: | Discusses a program run by DEULA Bayern through which many may get the opportunity to become trained as a golf course superintendent, or as golf course staff. The first year of the program produced 23 trained superintendents, each of which underwent a three month long internship. The participants learned about golf course maintenance as well as golf trends and conservation. With 5,000 inquiries per year concerning the program, DEULA Bayern hopes to help reduce unemployment in the area. |
