Abstract/Contents:Discusses the possibility of biological control of white grubs. Lists the characteristics of an "ideal" biological control organism for white grubs. Suggests that the organisms currently closest to the ideal are two plant parasitic nematodes, Heterorhabditis bacteriophora and Steinernema carpocapsae. Summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of these nematodes and suggests future research that may improve their effectiveness.
