Abstract/Contents: | In sand-culture trials with annual (Westerwolds) ryegrass (Lolium multiflorum var. westerwoldicum), decreasing the m.c. of the substratum below the opt. level increased the accumulation of nitrates in plants. Under opt. conditions of moisture and P and K fertilization, nitrates were not accumulated in plants even when given high N rates (187-312 mg/kg sand). |
