Abstract/Contents: | "The experiment was established 2 Apr along a median area of parking lot in Aurora, CO. Individual plots were 10.4-ft X 7.5-ft, arranged in a RCB design with 4 replications. Treatments were applied in a water volume of 6.4 gal/1000 ft², using a hand-operated compressed air sprayer. Evaluation was made 9 Apr using a D-Vac suction sampler (15-inch diameter). Plots were sampled by making 6 put-downs/plot and returned to the lab for sorting. Both Dursband and Talstar gave a high level of control of both brown wheat mite and thrips. None of the treatments significantly affected populations of springtails or oribatid mites." |
