Abstract/Contents:Describes the operations of the Second Nature Compost Facility in Palm Beach County, Florida. The facility recently increased its number of composting bays from 8 to 36, making it the largest facility of its kind. The facility's procedures for handling compost feedstock, its composting process, odor control system, quality control procedures, and markets for its compost products are described. Includes a sidebar describing the use of mixed paper compost to aid in crop growth.
