Abstract/Contents: | Describes the composting operation of the Gallo Vineyards grape-crushing facility in Fresno, California. Yard trimmings are added to grape by-products in order to raise the pH of the grape compost and alleviate a compost odor problem. The finished compost is used in Gallo's vineyards or sold on the agricultural market. |
