| Abstract/Contents: | "The purpose of this experiment was to determine if the addition of a surfactant with Orthene would increase the efficacy or residual toxicity of Orthene for early season control of mole crickets in turfgrass....The early season application of Orthene with a surfactant did not demonstrate any significant control advantages in this test. However, the addition of a surfactant did appear to increase the initial degree of control during the first week of application. Also, the plots treated with Orthene in combination with Break Thru, Chem Wet, and LI-700 did seem to demonstrate a slightly higher level of control than the other treatments. Plots treated with Triumph demonstrated better control than the plots treated with Orthene and the Orthene plus surfactant combinations." |
