Abstract/Contents: | "The objective was to compare Daconil formulations and Daconil in combination with various tank-mix partners for control of Rhizoctonia blight and summer decline in creeping bentgrass....The best disease control and subsequent turf quality was obtained with Aliette + Fore Flo...The Daconil and Daconil-tank mix combinations provided good disease control, but turf quality was somewhat lesser than that obtained with Aliette + Fore. The addition of Aliette, in this trial, was an advantage, as Aliette + Fore was better than Fore alone. Moderate to poor disease control was obtained with Prostar, with poor turf quality....A low level of dollar spot developed in the plots. The Aliette + Fore controlled the dollar spot better than Fore alone, but other trials indicate that Fore and Aliette, alone or in combination, are poor choices for dollar spot control. The same can be said for Prostar, which has no dollar spot activity. Because dollar spot was not severe, Fore and Aliette + Fore performed relatively well, leading to excellent turf quality. Daconil and Daconil-tank mix combinations also controlled dollar spot in this trial." |
