Abstract/Contents:A study was initiated to evaluate various rates and timings of Heritage fungicide treatments for control of Pythium blight in tall fescue. "There were no differences early in the short interval treatments, regardless of rates and the higher rate (0.7 oz) at 14 or 21 day intervals. Turf quality ratings were all relatively high across the heritage treatments. Later, however, a greater amount of disease was observed on the short interval vs the longer intervals, although the turf quality again was about the same. The same trend held true for the final rating, in late August. It was not known why there was more disease in plots treated at the shorter spray interval....In general, however, Heritage performed well."
