Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the supplies of various types of turfgrass seed expected for the fall of 1998. Average to above average seed crops have been harvested for all types of grass except fine fescues, so availability for most varieties of turf seed is expected to be good. Other developments in turfgrass breeding and sales are also discussed, including the success of the AgriBioTech company, the development of insect- and glyphosate-resistant turfgrass varieties, and the results of the 1997 National Turfgrass Evaluation Program. |
