Abstract/Contents: | Discusses how beginning entrepreneurs (landscape contractors) make many mistakes, like depending on others to run areas of the business they don't know or don't have the time for. Suggests developing a system rather than using individuals to run the business. The owner should concentrate on the business itself and on profits, taking a role as sales or facility manager or even as a mechanic. Uses McDonald's restaurants as an example - they use ordinary workers and accomplish extraordinary goals because they have a good system. |
