Abstract/Contents: | Summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of using certain types of turfgrass, with an emphasis on choosing between traditional and newer types. The grasses included are: bentgrass, bermudagrass, perennial ryegrass, zoysiagrass, bluegrass, and a newer type of grass called seashore paspalum. Criteria for comparisons include: mowing height tolerance, resistance to disease and pests, adaptibility to temperature, humidity, and high traffic. |
