Abstract/Contents: | What happens if one of the most important tools in the turf industry, pesticides, is taken away? The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency passed a law which substantially changed the way pesticides were evaluated for their health effects. The new requirements under the FQPA are strict but can be accomplished. Manufactures are to provide the EPA with all the data required to reevaluate whether or not a particular pesticides will remain registered and on the market. The author encourages other turf professionals to express their concerns about this law to the government. |
