Abstract/Contents:Discusses the annual Legislative Day on the Hill put on by the Professional Lawn Care Association of America (PLCAA) and the "Renewal and Remembrance at Arlington" project. The Arlington project included 70 lawn care professionals and their families spreading lime and performing other turf maintenance tasks on Arlington National Cemetery. The Legislative Day occurred on Capitol Hill and was a discussion between the PLCAA and legislators on issues such as OSHA reform, the Food Quality Protection Act, compensatory time, and the National Turfgrass Evaluation Program. Includes suggestions by congressman Curt Weldon (R-PA) on how the lawn care industry should "affect change inside the beltway." Also includes excerpts from EPA Administrator Carol M. Browner's kickoff speech.
