Abstract/Contents:Tahquitz Creek Superintendent Gerry Tarsitano discusses his goal of keeping courses well maintained and golfers happy and coming back. Greens at the Legends course were recently changed from bentgrass to bermudagrass resulting in a lot less maintenance. Disease has been controlled by following basic cultural practices such as spiking and grooming, frequent aeration and vertidraining; and efficient fertilization. Most of the nutrients needed come from the reclaimed water system with gypsum added occasionally to take care of the hot spots.
