Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the ISO 14000 standards developed by the International Organization of Standardization based in Switzerland. The standards allow a company to set environmental goals for itself and the ISO will provide an audit that confirms the company's commitment to that goal. The ISO certifies companies for environmental management systems and provides the consumers with the information. In some governments, ISO 14000 certification is mandatory. |
