Abstract/Contents: | Presents the effects of changes in certain government regulations on sports turf management. Changes in the Control of Pesticides Regulations 1986 apply to buffer zones, pesticide applicators and supervisor education. Revisions of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Provision & Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1992 will emphasize maintenance, training and the use of equipment. New Groundwater Regulations will be issued in the spring of 1999 and will provide for more protection of groundwater resources. |
