Abstract/Contents:Discusses how the Food Quality Protection Act (FQPA) is affecting the use of pesticides in the golf course industry. GCSAA members have been trying to get problems addressed in Congress. Members also want priority given to organophosphate (OP) alternatives before the EPA cancels many OP registrations. The article stresses that GCSAA members need to speak out now because competition will be fierce between the larger food industry and the smaller golf course industry for access to pesticides.
