Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the rift between the National Audubon Society and the New York Audubon Society. Compares the philosophies of the two Audubon Societies. Discusses the institution of the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program sponsored by the New York Audubon Society. Suggests that the National Audubon society does not give credit to golf courses built on marginally useful properties, nor does it give credit to the ponds created as water hazards, which support many forms of wildlife. Suggests that people should consider the philosophies of environmental organizations and the impact these philosophies have on personal, property, and economic rights. |
