Abstract/Contents: | Discusses at the number of courses banning metal spikes. Also looks at alternative spikes and their damage to golf courses. An experiment was preformed using many different spikes and shoes on Pencross creeping bentgrass greeens. After the trafficking of the greens was complete shoes and spike types were rated by supers, golf course employees, and supply distributers. |
