Abstract/Contents: | Discusses DD Sportilux, a wetfield product developed by Desso SLW Sports Systems of Oss, Holland. The product was used in Utrecht, Holland during The Federation of International Hockey Championship. DD Sportilux is made of polypropylene fibers, which absorb water to produce a good hockey pitch. Other features of the product discussed are: the polyurethane shockpad, invisible joints, and built-in playing lines. Also discusses the company's introduction of DD ActionTurf, a nylon product. Emphasizes that nylon works poorly in hot climates and works well in cooler areas. Describes other turf products developed by the company and their uses in a variety of sports. |
