Abstract/Contents: | Describes the new marketing alternatives available for lawn care companies who want to avoid mass telemarketing. Suggestions include: have route technicians ask customers for help in meeting their friends and neighbors, get involved with community projects, publish a monthly customer "swap sheet", and host a summer picnic for clients and friends. Also discusses the benefits of allowing employees the time to become experienced in new sales techniques such as planning a spring sales blitz, stopping at properties in need of care, contacting new home-builders, and organizing holiday campaigns. |
