Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the status of grubs as one of the most destructive turfgrass pests, and summarizes climatic factors that may have led to an increase in grub populations in 1996. Profiles four new grub control methods currently available or under development: the insecticide imidacloprid, entomogenous (insect-eating) nematodes, the bacteria Bt (Bacillus thuringiensis), and insect growth regulators. |
