| Abstract/Contents: | Describes how trends in fairway mowing have changed from using smaller triplexes to using the new lighter-weight 5-plex mowers. Provides consumer testimonials in favor of the 5-plex mowers. Also describes the change from collecting grass clippings for disposal to cutting more frequently and blowing clippings into roughs. This was done to save on the costs of clipping collection fees. Mentions that plant growth regulators (PGRS) are also used to help decrease clippings. Also provides photographs and descriptions of several specific models of fairway mowers. |
