Abstract/Contents: | Explains how to use symptom recognition and lab analysis to determine nutrient deficiencies in hardwood trees. Macronutrient deficiencies discussed include: nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, sulfur, calcium and magnesium. Micronutrients discussed include: iron, manganese, zinc and copper. A chart provides deficiency symptoms for all the nutrients discussed. Also describes the usefulness of foliar testing and shotgun (versus blanket) treatments. |
