| Abstract/Contents: | Describes the first meeting of the Sports Turf Pro Club held at Disney's Wide World of Sports in 1998. The event was sponsored by The Toro Company and about 25 turf managers of professional, university, and municipal sports facilities attended. The keynote speaker waas Steve Cockerham, superintendent of agricultural operations at the University of California-Riverside. He helped develop turf for Bank One Ballpark, a retractable dome stadium in Arizona. |
