Abstract/Contents:Summarizes research examining the effects of various golf green construction characteristics on turfgrass establishment. One study examined the effect of sand size distribution, finding that finer sands resulted in better establishment than coarser sands. Another study examined the effects of various root zone amendments, including soil, peat, composts and inorganic amendments.
