| Abstract/Contents: | Discusses changes as of January 1999 regarding the Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulation on Respiratory Protection. Provides a review of the required components of a Respiratory Protection Plan including: a written document outlining the procedures for your plan, completion of a Medical Evaluation Form by the employee to be submitted to a physician who will determine if the employee has the physical ability to wear a respirator, fit testings prior to respirator use and at least annually thereafter, a program administrator who is qualified and knowledgeable in respiratory protection, and a cartridge change-out schedule. |
