Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the option of using golf club tournaments to help raise money for turfgrass research. Suggests superintendents get support from the club's Green Committee chairperson, the head professional and the chairman of the Golf Committee when encouraging other members of the club to support turfgrass research. Suggests a certain amount of the entry fee of an existing club competition should be contributed directly to the Georgia Golf Course Superintendents Association for turfgrass research. Presents steps to begin the education process and carry the event out once approved by the golf committee. |
